How to complete Deadeye Penance in Warhammer 40k Darktide

They call them Penances for a reason!

Penances are challenges in Warhammer 40k Darktide, requiring a lot of work. They may seem incredibly difficult, even impossible, but with proper guidance and the Emperor's blessing, no goal is unreachable. The Penances will give you specific tasks you need to achieve, and to complete this Penance, you will have to aim very carefully.

The objective for the Deadeye Penance is to kill five highlighted enemies with only weak spot hits while using the weapon's secondary attack on Heresy difficulty or higher. To make it more difficult, you must complete it with a single use of a Volley Fire. We recommend you do not attempt this Penance before reaching level 30 because, after that, any of the Feats that you use will refresh your Volley Fire cooldown. This will make the completion of this Penance much easier.

The best weapon for the job is one that can easily hit the enemy's weak points. A single-shot weapon would be a preferred choice here since recoil wouldn't get in the way. A Lasgun would probably be the best pick, and it would be wise to invest in unlocking the best variants well before attempting this Penance.

Best Feats for attempting the Deadeye Penance in Warhammer 40k Darktide

The following is a list of feats best suited for completing the Deadeye Penance:

  • Level 5 - At Arm's Length
  • Level 10 - Sniper
  • Level 15 - Covering Fire
  • Level 20 - Camo Expert
  • Level 25 - Deadshot/One After Another
  • Level 30 - Counterfire

This build provides a lot of supporting damage to both you and your Volley Fire. It is probably the best optimized for the Deadeye Penance. The Feat on Level 25 can be chosen based on the Deadshot's high skill requirement. However, if you can pull it off, it will be of enormous help. One After Another makes for a safer option, with less emphasis on the skill level. Counterfire on Level 30 is an absolute must since it dominates the other two Feats.
