Best Rogue Decks for Scholomance – Standard & Wild!

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Rogue is generally a more aggressive class, with its hero power forcing you to get your opponent out of the game quickly. They've had many spans of dominance, with a variety of decks that have warped the meta! We're taking a look at the best Rogue decks you'll be able to play with in the Scholomance Academy expansion. The class got some new stuff to play with, so there's going to be some new options to bring into Standard or Wild ladder.

Rogue has been one of the more popular classes over the years. It all started out with a little thing called Miracle Rogue, which is one of the signature decks in the history of Hearthstone. It dominated the meta for a while, but eventually got nerfed and had cards sent to Wild. However, the archetype would pop up early in each expansion. It became a running joke, that you could always find a Miracle Rogue variant that would work at least somewhat well. Those days seem to be past now, and Rogue has moved on to other decks. Quest Rogue was probably even more infamous than Miracle, and required Blizzard to nerf it multiple times before they were content to leave it alone. Since then, Rogue has had its ups-and-downs and is still looking for a new signature archetype.

Best Rogue Decks for Scholomance Standard

The best decks for Rogue in the Scholomance meta right now are the Aggro Stealth Rogue and Galakrond Secret Rogue decks! The deck has some different variants floating around right now, but it appears to be having the most success of any other archetype for the class. This could all change when players go back to tinkering with some of the older decks again.

Aggro Stealth Rogue Deck

One of the most controversial cards that will be releasing in Scholomance Academy is Secret Passage . It's pretty insane, because for just 1-mana you will get five cards to play with on your current turn. This fits incredibly well in a deck that runs a lot of low drops. Naturally, that means an aggressive deck. So, you would dump your hand essentially, and on turn four or five you could play Secret Passage. That gives you five new cards to possibly play, most of which you should be able to take advantage of in that turn.

Galakrond Secret Rogue Deck

Galakrond Rogue was already strong, so don't be surprised to see it continue on in the meta. Jandice Barov is a pretty interesting card. I'm not sure how strong it will be, but it could be something that finds a spot in decks. The fact that a lot of damage comes from AOE is a bit scary for it, but at least you get to pick which minion dies to damage.

Best Rogue Decks for Scholomance Wild

Wild can be a bit difficult to predict, so here's a look at some decks that have been successful on the Wild ladder. You will find that the meta of Wild doesn't fluctuate as much as Standard does when a new expansion is released. This generally only happens if one Standard deck in particular is very dominant. Normally, you will notice that just the most powerful cards out of the set find their way into decks.

Wild Kingsbane Rogue Deck

Kingsbane Rogue has had a bit of resurgence in the Wild meta. You've got Secret Passage to get you some cheap cards to use, and even Cutting Class which can draw cards on the cheap since you will be attacking with your weapon a lot!
