Weekly challenges have been a part of Fortnite since the very early days. When a new season arrived, we usually get 10 weeks of them which are supposed to encompass the majority of the season. Most of the time, however, the seasons gets extended and additional challenges will be added to the game.
Fortnite challenges release each week on Thursday at 6am PDT. This is only for when they are available, which is usually the ten weeks originally planned out in the Battle Pass. You will sometimes see additional challenges added to the game after the initial run, these will give additional XP and sometimes get you some new styles for your skins!
Here's a look at some other time zones and what time they will start in your area:
- 8am CDT (Central Time)
- 9am EDT (Eastern Time)
- 2pm BST (British Time)
Challenges vary quite drastically in terms of what you will have to do to complete them. Some require you to collect things like chests, ammo boxes, or some unique item that Epic has place on the map. You'll also get a lot of elimination based challenges, which require you to be a certain area. These are usually best done in Team Rumble when possible! There's also been quite a few challenges that require you to deal with the Henchmen that can be found all over the map. These NPCs are easy to eliminate, but if you are caught without weapons or resources, you might be in trouble!
We are currently in Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3, which has the standard 10 weeks of challenges scheduled. We don't know yet if anything will be delayed, but due to the delay of cars for so long, you can undoubtedly expect some additional challenges to be added to the game after the final week is completed! We have a bunch of guides for all these challenges right here.
