Pupitar's evolution, Tyranitar, is a very powerful Pokémon that is useful for any Sand team. It has a massive 600 Base Stat Total and can hit hard while able to tank hits. Pupitar doesn't have much going for it and can be a pain to level, requiring either EXP. Candy or keeping it in the party. Its evolution level is pretty high, requiring a lot of investment. Luckily, in Scarlet & Violet, Tera Raids rewards lots of candy to level up the party with.
What level does Pupitar evolve into Tyranitar in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
Larvitar evolves at level 30 into Pupitar, while Pupitar evolves at level 55 into Tyranitar. The best way to get it to evolve is either by fighting Chansey outbreaks or by doing Tera Raids and earning EXP Candy. Keeping it in the party while resetting the date for Chansey outbreaks is one of the easier ways of farming early on in the game, as one, two, and three star Tera Raids don't give many rewards. This can be done by changing the date on the Nintendo Switch console in the Settings menu and then starting Pokémon Scarlet or Violet again to see what Pokémon are in the outbreaks.

How to get Pupitar in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Larvitar is pretty simple to find and can be made to spawn easier when using Sandwiches to spawn Ground Type Pokémon. A level 3 Sandwich can get the job in Larvitar's spawn locations as well as Pupitar's. When looking for Pupitar near Area 6, it'll always be at a higher level than the Larvitar found in other locations.
