The Madden NFL series is widely popular not only among football fans but all sports game fanatics alike. Unfortunately, some players have been experiencing issues while playing Madden 23 that have caused the game to crash or simply not load. This could happen for several reasons unrelated to server issues, but fortunately, it can be resolved. So, we've outlined the different fixes that could push you through and get you back on the field.
Madden 23 not loading, stuck on loading screen - Console Fixes
Below are all of the fixes if Madden 23 for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 won't load or is stuck on a loading screen:
- Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
- Update the Xbox.
- Update the game.
- Clear your console's cache.
- Shut down the console completely and unplug it from the socket.
- Leave it alone for 60 seconds and then plug it back in.
- The cache will now be cleared and you can turn back on your Xbox and try the game again.
- Check that the console is not overheating.
- Uninstall and reinstall the game.
- PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
- Restart the console.
- Update Madden 23.
- Clear your console's cache.
- PlayStation 4
- Shut down the console completely and unplug it from the socket.
- Leave it alone for 60 seconds and then plug it back in.
- The cache will now be cleared and you can turn back on your PS4 and try the game again.
- PlayStation 5
- Press and hold the power button and release it on the second beep in order to boot your console in safe mode.
- Click on the Clear Cache and Rebuild Database option.
- Select Clear System Software cache and press Ok.
- PlayStation 4
- Rebuild your console's database.
- PlayStation 4
- Turn off the console.
- Press and hold the power button and release it on the second beep.
- Plug a controller into your console and select the Rebuild Database option.
- PlayStation 5
- Press and hold the power button and release it on the second beep in order to boot your console in safe mode.
- Click on the Clear Cache and Rebuild Database option.
- Select Rebuild Database.
- PlayStation 4
- Uninstall and reinstall the game.
Madden 23 not loading, stuck on loading screen - PC Fixes
Below are all of the fixes if Madden 23 for PC won't load or is stuck on a loading screen:
- Update your video drivers.
- Uninstall and reinstall your video drivers.
- Ensure that your operating system is completely updated.
- Close out any third-party software running alongside the game.
- Press the Control, Alt, and Delete buttons on your keyboard and select the Task Manager option.
- Go over all of the open programs in Task Manager and close out any third-party software.
- Turn on VSync from within the Graphics menu.
- Lower your graphics settings from within the Graphics menu.
