It can be really annoying for any player to have limited vision in Fire Emblem Engage. There are a couple of maps in the game with this effect, but Chapter 20 likely gives players the toughest time. Like in Battle Before Dawn from Fire Emblem 7, players must navigate a dark castle to find and defeat the boss.
How to beat The Kingless Castle chapter in Fire Emblem Engage
Rush Griss at first
Griss gets one of the best tools in Fire Emblem Engage for this map: The Celica Ring. He will use it early on in this chapter to Warp to an unknown spot. Players must light up the room and find Griss quickly. Don't waste an Engage on him, though: he will warp back to the throne after getting hit once.
Bring the Micaiah Ring
Luckily, players can't get to Chapter 20 without beating Chapter 19, where players get the Roy and Micaiah rings back. Giving one unit the Micaiah Ring is practically necessary on this map since it gives the Shine tome, which illuminates the area. Spam Shine as much as possible until the castle is light up again.
Prepare for the enemies in the middle of the room
The most annoying part of this map is the High Priest in the middle since it carries an Entrap staff. Getting caught with this can be a death sentence since it teleports a unit next to the High Priest, where several Wolf Knights and other enemies are waiting to attack.
The best answer to this is to make sure that unit that gets Entraped has the Ike Ring. This Emblem comes with the Laguz Friend ability, which significantly bolsters the holder's Defense and Resistance. The Ike Ring is great for characters like Louis or Goldmary, who have high defenses anyways.
After that unit gets Entraped, they can use the Great Aether ability to tank hits on the enemy phase and then respond with a huge attack. After that, players want to rush that area and clean up any remaining enemies. After that phase, the rest of the map is generally easy. All players really need to do is save their other strong Emblem Attacks for Griss himself (Specifically Roy's, Lucina's, Leif's, Corrin's, and Eirika's Emblem Attacks)
