Capturing beasts involves using the Nab-Sack Spell and hitting the interact button at the right time. Once you have found a beast you want to capture, cast Levioso to trap the beast in the air, then cast your Nab-Sack spell to start capturing the beast. When prompted, press the interact button. The circle will fill multiple times, requiring you to time your interact presses carefully.

The Disillusionment spell will allow you to get close to the beast without scaring them. If you mistime the button press, the beast will escape from Levioso. However, the capture will continue as long as the beast doesn't get too far away.
