How to destroy Bendezium in Metroid Prime Remastered

Power Bombs away!

One unique aspect of Metroid Prime Remastered is how many unique materials in the game need to be destroyed with specific weapons. Bendezium is one such material that can be encountered in a few places (Great Tree Hall, glass in Magmoor Caverns, etc.). The places are important to keep in mind because Samus won't be able to break them down until much later in the game.

What weapon destroys Bendezium in Metroid Prime Remastered?

Samus cannot destroy Bendezium in Metroid Prime Remastered without the Power Bomb. This is arguably one of the strongest tools Samus will ever have in her arsenal, but they don't come cheap (she only starts with three). To receive the Power Bomb upgrade, players will have to travel through the Phazon Mines

Where can players find the Power Bomb in Metroid Prime Remastered

To get the Power Bomb, Samus needs to head to the Phazon Mines. there is an elevator to the mines deep within the Crashed Frigate Orpheon, specifically in the Great Tree Hall.

After entering the Phazon Mines, the tunnels inside will take Samus down to an area called the Central Dynamo, where she will have to fight the Cloaked Drone. Defeating this boss will give Samus access to a Morph Ball puzzle where the Power Bomb is hidden away.

For first-time players, the Cloaked Drone can be one of the most annoying bosses to contend with. It's invisible to Samus unless she has the X-Ray Visor, which players most likely don't have at this point. Players see an aura around the drone, which shines bright when it shoots at Samus.

The Wave Beam is the suggested weapon against this boss. However, there is a much simpler method. Players who have the Wavebreaker can spam it to defeat the Cloaked Drone in seconds. To get the Wavebreaker, simply travel to the Tower of Light behind the room where the Plated Beetle was in Chozo Ruins.
