How to complete A Story to Tell in Disney Dreamlight Valley (Olaf Friendship Quest)

What tales we weave.

Olaf, being cheerful as ever, wants to tell the other Villagers of Dreamlight Valley one of the best stories they've ever heard. After unlocking Olaf as a villager and completing his first Friendship Quest, A Place for Joy, you'll be able to unlock another quest in which Olaf is on the search for the perfect tale to reenact on his new stage. Here's how to complete Olaf's second Friendship Quest, A Story to Tell, in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

To unlock this quest, you'll first need to first have a few things unlocked. You'll need to have invited both Remy and Elsa back to your Village. You'll also need to have unlocked both Chez Remy and the Forgotten Lands Biome. Lastly, you'll need to have raised Olaf's Friendship Level to level four.

After you've done that, speak to Olaf. He'll tell a bit of a rambler before getting to his point. He needs a tasty snack before telling any stories. Go and speak to Remy, he'll give you a specific recipe to make a special treat. As a reminder here are the ingredients:

  • Two Corn
  • One Sugarcane
  • One Butter
  • Pure Ice (This can be obtained easily by speaking to Elsa.)

Corn and Sugarcane can be grown from seeds purchased from Goofy's Stall on Dazzle Beach. Butter can be purchased from Remy's Pantry at Chez Remy. Once you've gathered your ingredients take them to all to a cooking station. Put them into the pot manually, then cook them all up with one Coal Ore. You'll make some Sweet Frost Popcorn. Take the popcorn back to Olaf.

Now that he's had his snack, Olaf wants to hear your story. When you've finished telling him, you'll find that he still has more questions about what happened in the Valley after The Forgetting. Talk to both Donald and Kristoff. They tell very different versions of the same tale. Sort out the story one more time by talking to Olaf.

You'll need to do one last thing for Olaf to get ready for a play. He needs pictures of the settings. Go and take a picture nearby the Pillar of Courage in the Forest of Valor (we had to stand between the Pillar and Dazzle Beach to trigger the objective as met), nearby the Elephant Graveyard (Scar's home) in the Sunlit Plateau, and nearby the Ruins in the Forgotten Lands (this is where you retrieved a crystal for Ursula) Once you've returned to him with the photos, this quest will be complete.
