Diablo IV will release on June 6, 2023, allowing fans to return to Sanctuary and battle Lillith and her dark forces. Players eagerly await the next installment in the Diablo series, but some will be able to play the game early through the early access and open beta. But this may leave you wondering if progress from Diablo IV's open beta will carry over to full release.
Will the Diablo IV beta progress transfer?
The answer is no—progress from the Diablo IV early access and open beta will not carry over. At the end of these periods, all progress will be reset. This means you will go into the full release with a fresh character and be on par with all other players starting.

The open beta will allow you to explore the first zone, the Fractured Peaks, and reach a level cap of 25. You can continue playing after reaching the level cap, which means you can discover all the secrets in this zone. This also allows you to master combat, try different classes, and more.
You should avoid the open beta if you prefer to go in fresh and not repeat content. While some features and story events may change, we expect the open beta and early access to be pretty close to what you can expect in the full release. Still, participating in the open beta is a great way to see what Diablo IV has in store for the action RPG genre.
