Genshin Impact adds various events with each six-week update. In Version 3.5, players can participate in the Spices from the West: Northerly Search event, a relaxed mini-game centered around cooking up spices, adding them to certain dishes, then sharing those dishes with your favorite characters by inviting them to taste test them. Where to find characters to taste test dishes in Genshin Impact
The characters you share your fragrant dishes from the Spices from the West: Northerly Search event can all be found in your Serenitea Pot. You must have reached Adventure rank 28 and completed the World Quest Idle Teapot Talk to invite characters to taste test.
Place the characters you want to interact with around your Serenitea Pot as if they were furniture objects. To do so, click the hand icon in the top right corner of your Serenitea Pot screen, then enter the Companion Menu, the middle tab in your object placement menu.
Once a character is placed in your Serenitea Pot, you'll need to interact with them, then select Please try this! You'll then be able to choose which fragrant dish you want to give to a character.
We recommend choosing characters that have not yet had their companionship level raised to level 10. Inviting characters to taste test these dishes will grant you extra Companionship EXP. Participating in the event will also earn Primogems, Hero's Wit, Mondstadt Talent Guides, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and Mora.
