Revealed as part of the Dead by Daylight 7th Anniversary event, the Singularity is the next killer coming to the game. Here's whether or not it'll be worth your time to learn.
What does the Singularity do in Dead by Daylight?
Without having access to the playable test build (PTB) just yet, it's tough to say for certain if this killer is good. However, we know a bit about its power, and it sounds like the Singularity will be a very good killer when it comes to map control.

Acting a bit like the Hag (one of the original killers of Dead by Daylight), the Singularity will be able to keep tabs on several parts of the map without even being there itself. With Biopods, it'll be able to teleport around, and these pods also infect survivors if they come too close to them.
The pods can launch projectiles at survivors, and if they are hit by one, the killer can instantly teleport to their location. This means the Singularity will have to find good choke points to place the pods, and if that's done correctly it can completely wipe away a survivor's shot at escape. Survivors will be equipped with a way to disable the pods, so it's not going to be as overpowered as it sounds.
Is the Singularity good in Dead by Daylight?
Basing this off the killer's power, it seems like the Singularity will be a force to be reckoned with once it releases. Its perks will definitely play a big role in this, but since killers can use any variety of perks, a lot of it comes down to the power being good or not. In this case, the Singularity's power sounds strong, so it should translate to being a strong killer.
Players will be able to hop in and see for themselves once the PTB launches May 23. It's only available on PC, but it'll allow players to mess around with the new killer and try out the new perks.
