I've spent a lot of time exploring The Depths in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. On my journey, I encountered many scary but also cool things, like the Bargainer Statues, Frox enemies, and mines. One of the best things I found was the Great Abandoned Central Mine. I highly recommend getting to this location as early as possible, so follow the instructions below.
Where to find the Great Abandoned Central Mine in Zelda TotK (Tears of the Kingdom)
The Great Abandoned Central Mine is a location in The Depths in Tears of the Kingdom. To reach this location, I recommend diving through the Great Plateau North Chasm, located at coordinates -0665, -1510, -0051. Just a bit south and west, you can find the Nogukoyk Lightroot at coordinates -0723, -1500, -0516 to give yourself some light.
From there, continue southwest, and you will come upon a giant stone structure—this is the Great Abandoned Central Mine. Its precise location coordinates are -0723, -1500, -0516. Inside, you will find a pair of researchers and a Construct. Speak to the Construct to activate it and learn the Autobuild ability. However, this also triggers the arrival of Master Kohga.

How to beat Master Kohga in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)
This boss fight will require you to dodge Master Kohga's creations and knock him off his vehicles. The vehicle type will change as the fight goes on, but you can either jump on the back of it or shoot him in the head with an arrow. After stunning him, you can attack him until he teleports away.
Eventually, Kohga will spawn a vehicle with rockets. I had to start running before it charged at me to dodge it. Once you move out of the way, Kohga will continue forward, slam into the wall, and get stunned. Quicky run toward him and strike. After defeating Kohga, you are free to explore the Great Abandoned Central Mine.
Tears of the Kingdom - Great Abandoned Central Mine Rewards (Zelda TotK)
You can find various rewards and treasures in the Great Abandoned Central Mine, but the big three are listed below. You also gain a fast travel point once you defeat Master Kohga.
- Autobuild ability
- Bargainer Statue
- Forge Construct
