The latest Nintendo Direct opened with a big look into the upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. It's going to take place in two waves, with the first dedicated to a mysterious masked Pokémon, and the other taking place in the new Blueberry Academy. The trailer showed off some of the new characters while also giving a glimpse into what gameplay will be like.
The Teal Mask DLC Details (Pokémon Scarlet & Violet)

The Teal Mask refers to the Legendary Pokémon that seems to be the center of this DLC adventure; it wears the titular teal mask and looms over Mossui Town in Kitikami. This new area appears to be more inspired by Japanese festivals than the Spanish backdrop of the Paldean region.
Guarding Mossui Town from the masked Pokémon will be the Loyal Three: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. Players will likely be able to catch these Pokémon on their "field trip" to Kitikami.
Speaking of catching Pokémon: some older ones look like they will be making their debut into Generation IX. In the trailer we can see Whimsicott, Milotic, and even Metagross. It was a pleasure seeing some of these older Pokémon return (I was personally happy to see Milotic again). Many of the Water-types got nerfed this Generation by losing Scald access (Toxapex, Slowbro, etc.), so Milotic may become a niche option on online battles.

The Indigo Disk DLC details (Pokémon Scarlet & Violet)

This second part of the DLC will take place in Blueberry Academy, a new area located deep in the sea. While glimpses of Blueberry Institute have already been shown, the new trailer gave fans their first look at the terrarium: a greenhouse that contains several biomes, each home to different Pokémon.
It appears the terrarium will be made up of these four biomes:
- A grassy area with Grass-types and Bug-types
- A sandy area with Ground-types
- A rocky area with Rock-types and maybe Dragon-types
- An arctic area with Ice-types
