How to beat expert Viego in Tournament of Souls (League of Legends)

Deafeat Viego on expert mode.

League of League has a new metagame called Tournament of Souls, in which you get to battle different opponents as Samira. There are ten opponents that you have to defeat in order to win the championship and unlock rewards. Viego is one of the most challenging bosses in Tournament of Souls, but here's how I managed to defeat him.

How to beat Viego on expert in Tournament of Souls

Firstly, equip the following set of skills for your character before beginning the battle with Viego in the expert mode:

  • Q Ability: Deadshot
  • W Ability: Blade Drain
  • E Ability: Severe Strike
  • R Ability: Immortal Inferno

Veigo can be defeated if you span the basic combo attacks. Begin the battle with E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R, at the end of which is your ultimate attack. After activating your ultimate ability for the first time, switch the attack combination to Q > E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R for the maximum amount of damage.

Now, after the second ultimate attack, switch back to the original combo E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R. These consecutive ultimate attacks should bring Veigo's health down significantly. After that, you'll only need two to three abilities to defeat him and win the round. I suggest using the basic Q and E combo attack.

Here's a summary of the attack combos to use to beat Viego in expert mode:

  • E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R
  • Q > E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R
  • E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R
  • Q and E

How to beat God's Eye Viego on expert in Tournament of Souls

At the end of expert difficulty, you'll find yourself up against God's Eye Viego, the most difficult opponent in the Tournament of Souls. Here are the abilities you should equip to defeat him:

  • Q Ability: Piercing Precision
  • W Ability: Blade Drain
  • E Ability: Severe Strike
  • R Ability: Chaotic Daybreak

Just like the battle with Veigo, you'll have to use the basic attack combo E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R to defeat God's Eye Viego. However, it's not as easy, and you'll have to keep a few things in mind:

  • Veigo will receive an armor buff when you're about to unlock your first ultimate attack. If you use your power when the armor buff is active, you'll deal significantly less damage. Notice the armor icon under his health bar and wait for it to disappear before using your ultimate ability R.
  • After some duration in the fight, Veigo will turn your health bar purple. This is when you should focus on dealing heavy damage and using your ultimate ability R to regain the HP.
  • The tricky part is to time your attacks properly when God's Eye Veigo changes his form. Make sure to use the Q ability when he transforms into Sett, as this power will break his shield. Furthermore, he changes form into Lux near the end of the fight. Once again, use Q as soon as she gets her shield to shatter it and finish off the fight.
