The Golden Pelican is the most prestigious restaurant in Sea of Stars. You can find it in Brisk near the fountain area. Unfortunately, the keeper, Gaspar, will deny you entrance unless you have a reservation—because that’s the only way you’re getting in, apparently. Here’s how to get the invite.
How to get invited into the Golden Pelican in Sea of Stars
The first thing you need to know is that this is not an early game quest. The Golden Pelican invitation can only be received after you’ve beaten the game once and have seen the events leading up to the True Ending. Naturally, I’m obligated to put up a spoiler warning right here if you want to enjoy things blind. Because I really must emphasize that what I’m about to write are very big spoilers for some of the most important events in Sea of Stars!
Now, that that’s off my chest, let’s talk about the item you need: the Gilded Invitation.

Where to use the Hook of Time
Once you’ve gotten Garl back, speak to him in Camp twice. In the second conversation, he’ll give you an item called the Hook of Time. You can use it on Stillpond Island, an area between Docarri and Mooncradle.
With the Hook of Time with you, a thing will sparkle in the pond’s water. Fish it out, and you’ll reveal a hidden dungeon.
At the very end of this place, you’ll find this fishing spot that tells you to grab the “key.” Instead of fishing for the thing in the water, swim and grab it. Then, use the key on the sparkling figure up top.
This will lead you to a room where you can fish (yes, I’m serious) the Golden Pelican Head Chef out of the water. He’ll give you the Gilded Invitation.
What rewards do you get for entering the Golden Pelican in Sea of Stars?
Getting invited into the Golden Pelican will not only let you conclude Garl's story but also help you get a couple of achievements you might be missing as well. After a fancy dinner, you get two important items: a recipe for Legendary Feast and Question Pack #11. Answering all 11 Question Packs in Lucent will net you a Flimsy Hammer, which you can use to discover the last secret of Sea of Stars.
