Best Nature for Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC

That's a sweet and deadly apple.

Dipplin is a brand new Pokémon in the Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You'll need to travel to Kitakami to get the evolutionary item and evolve Applin to Dipplin. Once you have the Syrupy Apple and your Dipplin, you'll need to choose the best nature for your new party member. Let's take a look at what nature you should give Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What is the best nature for Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Pick one of the following for Dipplin's best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

  • Bold (+ Defense, - Attack)
  • Modest (+ Special Attack, - Attack)

Dipplin's strongest stat is Defense, making it more aligned for a physical wall through the Bold nature. It has decent Special Attack as well, so you could choose the Modest nature to increase it and get more offensive power. The choice is ultimately up to you depending on how you want to use Dipplin.

I prefer picking Bold to increase Dipplin's Defense and keep it in the fight longer. With its decent HP and Special Defense, Dipplin can prove to be an annoying opponent, especially with access to healing moves and the Leftovers item.

How to choose the best Nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Choosing the best nature for a Pokémon depends primarily on its stats or the role it plays. With Dipplin, I like it in a defensive role since its stats reflect this strength. As a result, I go with the Bold nature to further boost its Defense.
