Genshin Impact Dead End World Quest guide – Scenes from Life in Meropide

In the Dead End word quest in Genshin Imapct, you must help Clynes operate the terminal by solving a small but tricky puzzle. I'll show you how to do it below.

How to unlock Scenes from Life in Meropide Dead End World Quest in Genshin Impact

You must start the Unfinished Comedy: Game of the Rich World Quest in the Fortress of Meropide and progress until you've completed Scenes from Life in Meropide: Safe Operation, which will push the story forward and allow you to rest for the night. When you wake up, you'll be prompted to earn 300 Credit Coupons by completing any Scenes from Life in Meropide subquest.

Head to the area circled in the image above in the Dormitory Block. A blue exclamation mark will only appear when you're close enough. Speak to Galvaryet to initiate the World Quest.

How to help Clynes operate the terminal in Genshin Impact – Scenes from Life in Meropide Dead End

Galvaryet will ask you to help Clynes, who will then ask you to operate a nearby terminal. First, you must find him.

Find Clynes near the Rift of Erosion

Galvaryet will disappear after accepting the World Quest, but you can directly climb the tunnel behind her original position. Follow the path inside the tunnel, which will take you to the Rift of Erosion. From there, climb the stairs to speak with Clynes.

Help Clynes operate the terminal

You'll be asked to operate the terminal, but Clynes will unhelpfully not tell you how to do it. Go down the stairs, then head to the back of the staircase behind Galvana. You'll find a mechanism glowing blue. Interact with it to Pick Up the mechanism, then go up two flights of stairs.

After picking up the mechanism, a special interaction button will appear on the bottom right of the screen, where the arrow is pointing in the first image above. The button differs per device but is the same one used to traverse with Four-Leaf Sigils in Sumeru.

Once you're at the top of the stairs, stand in front of the terminal and use the special interaction button to place the blue mechanism in position. Doing so will activate the terminal, completing the objective. Speak to Clynes to complete the World Quest and get your well-deserved Credit Coupons.
