All enemies in Lords of the Fallen have a chance to drop an item after they are defeated, with the best items usually coming from boss battles, like weapons, armor, and Plucked Eyeballs. You don't always get an item every time since the drop rate in this game seems to be a low percentage. However, there are a few ways you can boost your item discovery and increase your chances of getting the loot you want. Keep reading below for all the details!
How to boost drop rates in Lords of the Fallen
Certain enemies drop specific armor sets or items you may be trying to farm. This can get frustrating really fast if the enemy isn't dropping items often enough. Thankfully, there are a few methods you can try to fix the problem.
Lucky Paws
Lucky Paws are a consumable item that can be used to increase item discovery. The effects only last for a few minutes, but it can guarantee enemies will drop items more often. This makes it much easier to farm an enemy for items since they will usually drop an item every time you kill them when using the Lucky Paws.

How to get Lucky Paws in Lords of the Fallen
While it may seem like you're farming one tough item to get others, having a nice collection of Lucky Paws will make it easier for you down the line, so it's worth taking a little bit of time to try. The best spot you can go to farm some Lucky Paws is the Bellroom Vestige Shrine.
There is only one Ardent Penitent enemy right at the entrance of the room, making it easy to rest and kill him over and over as many times as you need. He drops the Lucky Paws periodically, along with a few other loot items. It may take some time, but it will be the easiest method to collect.
Umbral Finishers
The second method for boosting item drops is to complete an Umbral Finisher. This is supposed to be a tried and true way of getting an item almost every time you kill the enemy. Some players found it easier to use Soulflay to do this, but I found it easier to use a shield and time my blocks.
Basically, to do an Umbral Finisher, you need to drain their white circle meter all the way down, which staggers them. To do this, you'll want to get their health down to at least half or a quarter way, then use your Umbral Lamp to Soulflay them, or you can attempt to parry them by blocking right when they hit. When they're staggered, they will fall to the ground, and the circle will turn red. When the circle flashes red, you'll want to press the quick attack button to perform a finisher. This will usually kill them right away if their health is low enough and drop an item more times than not.
Try using these methods to get items more often as you play. It may still take some time to collect a whole set of armor or the right amount of currency you're looking for, but it will be a lot quicker than trying to farm without. Good luck!
