Events in Escape From Tarkov are often confusing and not explained, as is the case with the Ritual in Progress event. Luckily, I made this guide to help players like you survive the EFT Halloween 2023 event.
Escape From Tarkov Halloween 2023 Event Explained
The Escape From Tarkov Halloween event has the cultist boss called Zraychiy spawning on every single map. Zraychiy starts as friendly towards players and even drops loot for them. However, if the friendly Zraychiy gets killed by any means, the Ritual In Processevent starts.
Escape From Tarkov Ritual In Process Explained
When the Ritual in Process event starts, cultists on the map begin to summon a powerful version of Zraychiy. If the cultists start their ritual, a message states Ritual In Progress on-screen, and a seven-minute timer starts. Players must head to a blue light beacon in the sky and kill all cultists before the timer goes down.
All extracts also become unusable to everyone on the map except whoever killed Zraychiy. If players fail to stop the ritual, a vengeful and powerful version of Zraychiy spawns. Players will also gain annoying debuffs, such as increased chances for weapons to jam. Because of this, we recommended stopping the ritual before the vengeful Zraychiy spawns.
What happens if Vengeful Zryachiy spawns in Escape From Tarkov?
If players fail to stop the Vengeful Zraychiy from spawning, a powerful Zraychiy will begin to hunt everyone on the map. Both PMCs and Player SCAVs will not be safe from Zarachiy's wrath. To make matters even worse, the powerful version of Zraychiy features over 40k health. It's also practically impossible to kill Zraychiy because of his high health; because of that, it's better to stop the ritual before he spawns.
