Best runes for Paladin in WoW Season of Discovery

Warriors of the Light...

Paladins have always been a popular class throughout WoW's history, and for Season of Discovery, that popularity is boosted due to the quality of Runes it gets. If you're playing a pally in the current season, here are the best ones for you to go for.

Strongest runes for Paladin in WoW Season of Discovery

A large majority of the Paladin's Rune selection is quite exquisite but there is always a select few that become the meta due to their exceptionalism even among the top tiers. The following are the Runes you should seek out as a Paladin.

Divine Storm

Divine Storm has become a signature ability for all Retribution Paladins throughout WoW's long history, but the spell wasn't available during the game's Classic era. That changes with Season of Discovery, and its potency remains as true as it has always been. If you're looking to deal damage with a Paladin in Season of Discovery, Divine Storm is the Rune you're searching for.

Seal of Martyrdom

This unique Seal for the Paladin allows the class to act as a mana battery for the casters and healers in your party while giving you a significant damage boost for DPS. When dealing damage with this Seal active, you'll suffer a bit of the damage you deal, but that suffered damage becomes mana for your party. This is just an overall nice ability for any Paladin spec and should be sought after.

Aegis

Tank Paladins had a bad reputation during the Classic era of WoW due to many reasons. One of those reasons was a clear lack of mitigation, especially when compared to the other tanks of the time. The Aegis Rune and ability fixes a ton of the spec's mitigation problems, granting the Paladin a significantly higher chance to block, a staple of any non-Druid tank.

Avenger's Shield

Divine Storm is a revered ability and a signature one for the Retribution Paladin. However, for Protection Paladins, Avenger's Shield is just as famous. In the Classic Era, Protection Paladins had a huge problem pulling targets due to a lack of a taunt ability. Avenger's Shield, being a ranged ability, solves that problem. This is a must-have for Proc Paladins.

Rebuke

If this hasn't been made obvious yet, Classic Era Paladins had a lot of issues due to not having the simple mechanics that most other classes had. Paladins could not even interrupt their targets through normal means, but thankfully, the addition of the Rebuke Rune solves this issue. For those looking to PvP, or just aid your party by throwing out necessary interrupts, the Rubuke is a solid choice for all Paladin specs.

Crusader Strike

The last of the iconic Paladin abilities, Crusader Strike is a significant addition to any Paladin spec's arsenal, it is especially solid for Retribution Paladins due to how much mana the spec can gobble up and the amount of additional damage it brings to the table. While this one is arguably optional for Proctection and Holy Paladins, it is mandatory for Retribution and should be obtained via its quest for all Paladins looking to deal damage.
