Smite 2, the next-generation sequel to Smite, is all set to release its alpha weekend testing in Spring 2024. But to receive Cross-Gen content and Legacy Gems in Smite 2, players will need to link their Smite 1 account to their Smite 2 account—here's how to do it.
How to link your Smite and Smite 2 accounts on Xbox, PlayStation & PC?
Follow these instructions to link Smite and Smite 2 accounts on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC:
- Log in to Smite on the platform you intend to play Smite 2 on.
- Next, click “Link Account” from within the Divine Legacy tab.
- This will link your Smite 1 account to that platform account.
However, it's important to remember that you cannot link new Smite 1 platform accounts after you link to Smite 2. So make sure you have linked all of your Smite 1 accounts via this link before linking to Smite 2.
On top of that, account linking is irreversible. So be sure you are on the platform you intend to play Smite 2 on before clicking Link Account. As Smite 2 gets closer to release, you'll have the option to link your Smite 2 account from your main platform to other platform accounts, allowing for cross-progression in Smite 2.

Will Smite 1 skins transfer to Smite 2?
As per the official FAQs, most Smite 1 content will not directly transfer to Smite 2, but Smite players will be rewarded for their time, money, and achievements through two new systems: Legacy Gems, and Divine Legacy. In addition, new skins added to Smite 1 in Year 11, along with some limited other cross-gen skins, will transfer between the games.
If you want to get your hands on Smite 2 Alpha as soon as it releases, make sure to visit Smite2.com, click “Register for Alpha,” and enter your email address. You will receive an email with an access code when access is granted.
