The Crash Pad Jr is a smaller version of the usual Crash Pad item. It was seen in previous chapters but vaulted for a while. In Chapter 5, the Crash Pad Jr returned, and luckily, it isn't too hard to find one. It has a 60% drop rate and can be found randomly in chests or as ground loot. You can also find it on fallen players, so if you see them jumping around, see if you can take some off them by defeating them.

To use a Crash Pad Jr, first select it in your quick slots. You can aim where you want to throw one by holding the usual aim button, LT on controllers or M2 for PC. When aiming, you will see a blue outline of the trajectory of your throw and where the item will end up. Once you throw the first one down, you can jump onto it and then throw down another immediately below you as you're falling by pressing A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, or Spacebar on PC.

The Crash Pad Jr, just like the full-size Crash Pad, is perfect for preventing fall damage. Just throw down the Crash Pad below you to bounce off of it and avoid hitting the ground. However, it is a smaller target, so be sure to be accurate with your throw. It is also great for just getting around faster, allowing you to bounce into the air, jump far, and provide that anti-gravity effect.

Utilize the Crash Pad Jr in your games while you can. It is unvaulted for now but could be vaulted again as the chapter progresses and further updates are made. Anything that will help you get around faster and get your high ground is necessary for winning those Victory Royales.
