Gold is the main currency that makes the world go round in Palworld, and earning it early on is critical to survival. If you've struggled to earn some gold as I have, here are a few tips on how to farm gold in Palworld.
Best ways to earn gold in Palworld
Capture Mau Pals
Mau is a type of Pal that drops gold, and filling your ranch coop with Maus will bring you heaps of gold. Thanks to its Gold Digger trait, Mau can dig up gold coins when you assign it to your ranch. You can find Maus inside dungeons and caves across the Palpagos Islands.
Fight Pals and Humans
This method isn't 100% reliable, but you'll only need to take out a few Humans or Pals to get some serious bank. Look for Maus, Vanwyrms or Direhowls since they tend to drop gold after being defeated. PIDF and Syndicate humans are tough, but they leave lots of gold behind them, and it's worth a shot if you're leveled up. Watch out for that Wanted level, though.

Sell Pals and Food
A great way to earn gold in Palworld is to keep Pals with the best passive traits and sell the ones that you don't find useful. Look for the Pal Merchant in the Small Settlement (73, 487) to sell Pals, or find the Black Marketeer to sell both Pals and captured Humans. For food and other items, look for the Travelling Merchant who appears at random locations, and sell it for extra bank.
Look for Chests
Chests are scattered throughout the map, containing valuable items, weapons, and gold. Some of these Chests will be locked, and you'll need to acquire Gold, Silver or Copper Keys by defeating Bosses or finding them in unlocked chests. Time for exploring!
