Fortnite Chapter 5 Hiding Spot locations

Hiding Spots cannot be anywhere dark and out of sight. For this quest, Hiding Spots are specific to locations that give you the 'hide' option. There are a few spots where you can do this: Dumpsters, Flushers, and Sewers. Check out the map above to see where you can find them.

Specific spots include:

Dumpsters

Dumpsters are found most often on the exterior of houses and buildings, against the outer walls, against fencing, or somewhere nearby. They are probably the most common Hiding Spot and easiest to find since there are more of them in general.

Flushers

There are not as many Flushers around the map as there were in past Fortnite seasons, but they still count as a Hiding Spot. If you're looking to knock out a Hiding Spot for the quest in a less populated place, this is definitely the one to go for. You can find two at the fishing docks near Winterburg.

Sewers

Sewers are another spot that allows you to hide, but they work a bit differently than the others. Much like the Flushers in previous seasons, the Sewers work as a secret passageway down to underground bunkers or can be connected to other Sewer entrances. They are found on the ground, mostly outside, but can also be inside some locations, and they give off a green aura, so they're easier to find. Occasionally, you may find a manhole cover that you can hide in without being teleported, like the one on the floating island. They still work as Hiding Spots for your quest and are a great way to escape quickly.

How to use Hiding Spots in Fortnite

To use a Hiding Spot, approach it until the prompt to 'hide' pops up on your screen. Then, press X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or E on PC, to hop into the spot. You will be concealed while you are in the Hiding Spot, but it will also give off a noise cue every so often, allowing players to detect you. Hiding Spots are breakable, so don't stay in them too long. If you've been compromised, jump out as quickly as possible and surprise your opponent before they get the first shot.

You can use Hiding Spots to your advantage during a match, whether you're trying to surprise an unsuspecting opponent or escape a risky situation. Hop in a spot for five different matches to complete your Snake quest.
