Besides your trusty Pals, your base is your anchor to the world of Palworld. There is plenty to build for it, but the size of it may be a limiting factor, so here's how you can expand it.
How to expand your base size in Palworld
To be clear up front, there is no way to expand the size of your base in the traditional sense. The moment you place a Paldeck and chart out the location for a base, that resulting blue circle is all you get to work with. You can build components of your base outside of this circle, but the downside to doing so is that you cannot use any of your base's stored resources for anything outside the circle. This, in general, makes building a functional base beyond the circle rather impractical.
Not everything is doom and gloom though. As you complete base objectives, you'll level up your base and expand the total amount of Pals you're allowed to place within it. In this sense, base expansion is still a thing, just not directly in size. More Pals on the field means more work that can be done, so it is worth doing.
In the same vein, by leveling up your base, you'll also earn the ability to place three additional Palboxes in any location you desire. This is technically an expansion of your base because it allows you to expand beyond the borders of your original one. I used my second base to build a passive ore farm to fund my ventures. That would not have been possible without a second base.
