In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you are prompted to sleep at the beginning of the game by Tom Nook. There isn't any inherent knowledge as to how you can do this. Luckily, we've got the steps!

How to Sleep in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

This guide assumes that you have the default control scheme for the game. If you don't, press the appropriate button listed for the actions you'd like to perform.

Important Note: Sleeping is used to visit other Players' islands. You can also sleep to change your game's settings to allow other players to visit yours!

Step One: Pull out the Cot or Bed in your inventory and place it somewhere in your Tent or House.

Step Two: Approach the bed and press the left control stick to make your character hop onto it. It will prompt you to ask if you'd like to make your character sleep. Select Yes.

Step Three: *snore*
