Plenty of dangerous anomalies out there will drain your health in a matter of seconds. Thankfully, your car can be equipped with a healing device that will keep you standing strong—the ARC Doc. Here's how to get and use it!
Pacific Drive ARC Doc - How to get and use
The ARC Doc, much like the Handbrake, is a special upgrade you can equip your ARC device with and use as an ability. However, unlike most of the other upgrades, you won't be able to print the blueprint on your Fabrication Station. Instead, you will find this one in the keypad door of the garage.
How to unlock the keypad Auto Shop door in Pacific Drive
This mysterious locked door requires a code to enter, and as much as it is enticing, you won't be able to open it until you get to the quest, "A Little Favor." During this quest, Tobias and Francis will give you the code to unlock the keypad and head inside. Unexpectedly, you will walk straight into a seemingly normal-looking bathroom.
This bathroom isn't all that it seems. You will have to figure out a way to open the secret passageway into Oppy's hideout. To do this, interact with the bathroom items in this order:
- Toilet Flusher
- Faucet
- Hand Dryer
A door will open leading through the bathroom and into the hideout room, where you'll find the ARC Doc. You can pick up this blueprint tube and carry it to your car to install it straight into the ARC device in your passenger seat.
How to use the ARC Doc in Pacific Drive
The ARC Doc is a special ability item, meaning it will allow you to use it at any time through your car. Using it will heal you as if using a medkit or canned food. Before you can use it though, you will need to equip it into an ability slot.
When you're in your car, interact with the ability pad on the top left side of the dash, and you can equip the ability into an empty ability slot. I have mine equipped as my 'F' ability, meaning it will slowly begin to heal me when I hold 'F' while in my car. However, remember that this ability will also use some of your battery charge, which is indicated by the blue dots just to the right of the ability pad. Try to keep a Plasma Charger or Battery Jumper in your storage to recharge as necessary.
You can easily take damage when running out of your car to grab supplies or an anchor at a junction, and if you don't have the food or medkits to heal, this upgrade is a godsend. As long as you have battery in your car, you can stay strong and healthy on your journey.
