Best Starter Builds for Necropolis League 3.24 in POE
There are many ways you can build your character, but here are the best starter builds for Necropolis League 3.24 in Path of Exile.
Detonate Dead of Chain Reaction Necromancer build by Zizaran and Imexile
Detonate Dead of Chain Reaction Necromancer is one of the caster builds in Necropolis 3.24 and a great League Starter. The transfigured version of DD makes this a tanky build focused on fast clearing. It is also a two-button build where you switch between Desecrate and Detonate Dead and chain them.

Desecrate summons corpses, while Detonate Dead explodes a corpse and all others nearby, chaining them and dealing additional fire damage with a lingering effect. When fighting bosses, you'll be adding the Arcanist Brand, so at this point, you won't be casting Desecrate.
You need to keep several things in mind. You need to have a Specter early on so that you can have higher HP corpses in your pool and deal more DD damage. Enough Energy Shield, around 800, is also a big must due to Detonate DD spamming, along with casting Divine Blessing. The exact build, including gear, atlas tree mapping, etc., for early and late game is in the video below.
Lightning Arrow Deadeye by Havoc
Lightning Arrow Deadeye is a fast-paced ranged build that is great for clearing maps. You'll use this bow attack skill to hit enemies with an arrow that causes a lightning strike and damages enemies nearby as well.
Early on, you'll want to get Sniper's Mark to increase projectile damage to a single target as well as cause the projectile to split. You should also grab Added Cold Damage and Frostbite to increase elemental cold damage as well as get the chance to apply freeze and reduce movement by 100%. You'll also want to help Alira with the early map gameplay. This build can also work for endgame, and you can check out more options in the next video.
Explosive Trap Trickster build by Fearlessdumbo
Explosive Trap Trickster is a great trap build. This build makes for a tanky bosser that can struggle to clear. This is a less button-intense playstyle for both mapping and bossing, which I prefer. You'll be throwing these traps to cause multiple explosions and physical damage, which then turns into fire damage.
When fighting a boss, cast Assassin's Mark to apply critical strike chance and multiplier, Elemental Weakness to lower elemental Resistance, and Bear Trap to cause physical damage, reduce movement speed, and increase damage from traps and mines.
An important thing to note is that you will need a Mana Flask at the start to recover your Mana. You can also decrease your Mana costs through master crafting on your amulets and rings by farming Betrayal until you unveil Elreon's items for the craft (you can also just buy them off of the trade site until you hit the unveil). For more information about the playstyle, check out the videos below.
Zoomancer Necromancer Build by Ghazzy TV
Ghazzy TV's Zoomancer Necromancer build is great for league start, but it can also work for endgame if you invest quite a bit of currency in it. However, early on, it is a very cheap and low-budget option that works really well.
As a Zoomancer, you summon Zombies, Specters, Golems, and Skeletons to deal damage. You'll want to pick up "Instant Leech" Leech Mastery since you take Bone Barrier as an ascendancy passive so that your Minions can drain HP for you. This will make your character very tanky. Bone Offering is also a great spell to have since you'll be able to sacrifice a corpse for additional blocks for your minions and life regeneration if they have blocked an attack or a spell recently.
The biggest issue with this build is the sheer number of minions you'll have on screen. However, if you enjoy such chaos and clutter, you can check out the full build guide in Ghazzy TV's video below.

Splitting Steel Champion build by Tytykiller and Rue
Splitting Steel Champion is a melee build that has seen some changes with 3.24 due to Nerf in the number of projectiles. It's a very unique style of attack, which I like since you're using your melee weapon to launch projectiles. It's a new level of bringing a sword to a swordfight, but your sword is actually a gun as well.
You'll want to bring in an Ancestral Totem, which will cause melee damage when you are standing near it. It also gives you a speed increase. This is usually considered a big con since all melee builds are unfortunately reliant on Totems to deal actual damage, so it might be a turn-off for you. Another boost that is very important for you is the Sniper's Mark, which increases projectile damage and splits it for additional damage. The details of the full build can be found in Rue's and Tye's PoB, and additional information is provided in the two videos below.
Explosive Arrow Champion by Zizaran
Necropolis 3.24 brought a buff for the Explosive Arrow Champion build. If you like totem builds, this is a great choice for your League Starter. It works great for both mapping and bossing with some changes in play style.
When clearing maps, you'll throw down a totem and then run. Use a combo of Blink Arrow to teleport to a new location and create a clone at your previous location and Flame Dash to teleport again while causing flame damage.
For bossing, you'll have to keep up your Frenzy Charge to increase swiftness along with Culling Strike to instantly kill enemies with 10% of max health or less. If you like fun builds like this one, check all of the details in the video below.
