Fortnite's 2024 summer update is coming, which is quite possibly the worst-kept secret in the gaming world right now. But surprises are coming, as it seems that we'll be able to dive into new content sooner than expected.
According to leaks, Epic Games has surprisingly changed the release schedule for Fortnite's highly anticipated summer update. Initially set for June 25, the Creative Roadmap's release date has been changed to June 22, 2024. If this Fortnite leak proves to be accurate, you'll be able to enjoy the Fortnite v30.20 update this Saturday.
Prominent Fortnite leakers like @ShiinaBR have noticed the modified schedule, meaning that something is happening. Some fans are perplexed as updates don't usually drop on Saturday. Perhaps the developers have everything prepared and just want us players to head to the beach earlier while parts of the world are finally getting to bask in that summer heat.
One of the clues is the rescheduling of STAGE: 0, a Japanese esports event that is an important part of the Fortnite experience. According to leaker @fn_greenfox, the event is rescheduled due to "in-game updates." Although data is limited, players are excited about what this could mean for the game's evolving storyline and gameplay. Fans are asking for Marvel's X-Men mutants and Pirates of the Caribbean crossovers to come to Fortnite, although these are expected to arrive at a later date.
The community is eagerly awaiting the Fortnite summer event and for good reason. Every summer, Epic Games prepares a chunk of sun-soaked content so players can enjoy their time off. In this surprise early release, could new weapons, map changes, or limited-time modes be on the cards? We'll find out in the next few days, if not on June 22, then definitely on June 25, 2024.
