A comparison infographic of Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero items.

This Genshin Impact comparison infographic will prepare you for Zenless Zone Zero

Learning all these new names so soon after WuWa is going to make my head spin.

Are you a Genshin Impact player who's ready to jump ship to Zenless Zone Zero? The newest gacha game from HoYoverse is set to be released on July 4, 2024, and with over 40 million pre-registrations confirmed, you aren't alone in your choice. To get ready for ZZZ, check out this comparison infographic above!

Shared by the verified Twitter user @GenshinImpactOC, but created by @Benbutbap, this infographic directly compares the most important items in Genshin Impact with their companions in Zenless Zone Zero.

For example, Primogems, which are used to replenish your Resin supply in Genshin Impact, are known as Polychrome in Zenless Zone Zero. Polychrome will, undoubtedly, be part of the way that Proxies (players as they're known in the ZZZ universe) access rewards for challenges that they've completed across the map.

In Genshin Impact, these challenges are found by searching for Ley Line Blossoms, Petrified Trees, and Trounce Blossoms. We know what the Zenless Zone Zero equivalent of these challenge areas will be yet.

Like in Genshin Impact, players will need to convert their Polychrome to Battery Charge to accept their post-challenge awards.

The next obvious comparison is Intertwined Fate and Acquaint Fate to Encrypted Tape and Master Tape. Both of the Fate items from Genshin Impact let players pull new characters and weapons from the various Genshin Banners that are available. As such, the two types of Tape from Zenless Zone Zero will be the items that Proxies use to pull from ZZZ banners.

Master Tape is used for banners called Stable Channel Signal Searches, which allow you to pull Agents (characters from ZZZ to add to your team) or W-Engines (weapons that can be equipped to Agents to increase their Stats). On the other hand, Encrypted Tape is used for both Exclusive Channel Signal Searches and Exclusive W-Engine Channel Signal Searches.

The difference here is that the exclusive Channel Signal Searches - the banners - are limited-time searches, which means that you'll want to stock up on the Encrypted Tape to get rare Agents and W-Engines.

Can I get any free items as a new player in Zenless Zone Zero?

You absolutely can get free items as a new Zenless Zone Zero player! In fact, I wrote an entire guide about how to redeem pre-registration milestone rewards in Zenless Zone Zero, and the post includes eight other events with free items that you can work towards with ease.

What are the main characters called in Zenless Zone Zero?

Say goodbye to your Traveler, it's time to become a Proxy. As a player in Zenless Zone Zero, you'll have your choice of two Proxies at the beginning of your game: Belle and Wise.

Belle and Wise are siblings in Zenless Zone Zero, which feels like a bit of a callback to the first HoYoverse gacha game, Genshin Impact. In Genshin, the MC you don't choose appears later on in the game. The two MCs are twins, and one takes a darker path that you see develop throughout your meetings.
