Although there are plenty of popular games on Roblox that everyone plays, this guide is here to highlight some of the dying or dead games that deserve a little love. Instead of clicking on the same things you always play, try one of the top 10 dead or dying Roblox games to enjoy something that was once enjoyed by many.
The best dying or dead games on Roblox
The following 10 games are Roblox games that have significantly less active players than other games that pop up on your recommended feed. Some of these games have been out for a few years, while others have been around on Roblox a lot longer. Roblox is full of unique games, but these 10 stand out enough to be given another chance at life.
10. The Normal Elevator
Created in 2025, The Normal Elevator is a game about an elevator that is far from normal. Although Roblox will tell you that there are still over 900 active players, if you compare that to a game that's still popular - like Restaurant Tycoon 2, which has over 14k active players - you can see a clear discrepancy. (If you end up checking the game out, we have updated Restaurant Tycoon 2 codes for you to use.)
The Normal Elevator hasn't been updated since April 2023, and now has a spin-off game created by a separate developer. Unfortunately, the spin-off is significantly less popular, with just three active players. The Normal Elevator seems to have retained a bit of a fan base; it's mentioned in one of the top comments on a Reddit post about dying Roblox games.
Honestly, I'm not sure where to start with my experience of this game. All I know is one second there was darkness, and the next there were Doritos and Snoop Dogg.
9. Cook Burgers
4,000 players are still enjoying this restaurant management sim, so it's not quite as dead as the other games on this list. Cook Burgers lets you have your own burger restaurant where you make different burgers to serve to your customers. Customers will enter the restaurant and make requests, which you then need to cook.
It also has a very basic character creator, where you can dress as an employee, waiter, or chef. The issue with this one is that players just come in and trash the restaurant, which makes it hard to start making orders because there are ingredients everywhere. For a more recent game, try Burger Tycoon (which we have codes for).
8. Factory Simulator
If you love a good management sim, Factory Simulator is the game for you. This Roblox masterpiece allows you to build your own industrial empire by painstakingly creating each of your factories and building them up until you're earning more in-game cash than you know what to do with.
With 69.9 million visits since 2021, it's a shame to see the active players go down on this game to a measly 157 players. It does have a bit of a learning curve, and I found the tutorial pretty time-consuming, but if you're someone who thrives on sim games, you'll enjoy it a lot.
7. Star Scape
Somehow still in BETA, despite being published in 2017, Star Scape is an open-universe exploration game that is perfect for sci-fi fans. It retains just 82 active players, but has had 13.8 million visits since its conception. Star Scape is Roblox's largest sandbox game, welcoming players to fly around a huge world or stay on the ship and explore everything else the game has to offer.
Waking up in a clone bay is a bit strange, but there's an undeniable amount of effort that has gone into this game that's plain to see.
6. Framed!
A kind of ridiculous 65 million visits with just 66 active players left, Framed! is a game that certainly deserves more love. It's your typical spy game, with the fun of hunting down your targets while running from the law.
Once you've racked up enough points from your hit list, you can use the shop to trade those points for better gear and improve your game. You don't have to play as an undercover spy if you don't want to; you can also play as the police or a framed individual.
The premise of this game is awesome and it deserves a lot more than 66 players.
5. Wacky Wizard
Now, Wacky Wizard does have 3k active players, but hear me out—that's 3,000 players left from a game that has had 867 million visits. It's only three years old, so it's a dying game instead of a dead one; there are obviously still a significant amount of people logging on to play.
In Wacky Wizard, players play as wizards and can enjoy creating new potions to drink. What happens after that, well, it gets a bit wacky. Potions can have all manner of effects on a player's avatar. I can honestly say I never thought I'd give myself pool noodle arms.
4. Eviction Notice
Eviction Notice is a game that feels like Big Brother. You start in a house with a bunch of other players and complete challenges. At the end of the challenge, the winner can nominate two people to try and evict.
The downside of this being a dying game is that it takes a hot minute to gather enough players to start a game - whether you're on the solo or duo platform. This game currently has 682 active players, and it really isn't the kind of game that can afford to lose too many.
3. Drive Cars Down a Hill!
I'm a sucker for weird games like this. It reminds me of slacking off in my high school IT classes and just playing absolutely random things between tasks. There would always be someone on a strange internet game from some off-beat website, and Drive Cars Down a Hill! has that vibe.
You just drive cars. There are several different cars to choose from, and you just... Go. You can enjoy various terrains, realistic-looking cars, and challenge yourself to beat other players' speedrun times. With 442 active players, you can enjoy baby's first driving game over on Roblox without needing any specific driving skills.
2. Parkour Run!
1.2k players are still enjoying legging it around this game! Parkour Run! gives players a randomly generated obstacle course to run, with the objective of finishing the course in the fastest time possible. Use the game's mutators to help or hinder other runners while you try to race to the finish line.
But beware! There are plenty of traps along the way and falling makes you die and restart.
1. Scuba Diving at Quill Lake
This game is almost a DECADE old and has just 123 active players still hanging onto it. The developer has announced that it is discontinued, with no plans to further update the game as of October 2023. You can enter the remastered version of the game or enjoy the seaside challenges that are forever stuck in BETA.
This game is really reminiscent of Endless Ocean and other diving games. While keeping an eye on your oxygen levels, you can dive into the lake and search for treasure to take back to the pawn shop. When you're rolling in coins, head over to Steve's Scuba Gear shop to trade for some new gear and tools that will help you when you're diving.
I can see myself continuing to play this one; it's my favorite game on the entire list.
