All Message From a City Resident treasure locations & puzzle solutions in Genshin Impact

While exploring Genshin Impact's summer world, Simulanka, you'll encounter a Message From a City Resident in Constellation Meropode. Solve the puzzle to unlock a series of Hidden Exploration Objectives, which reward you with amazing Treasure Chests.

How to find & solve all Message From a City Resident puzzles in Genshin Impact

Message From a City Resident (I)

Head to the area circled in the image above to find a wooden signboard. Interact with it to get the first clue from the Message From a City Resident (I). You will be asked to find the treasure hidden in a "pile of stones under the tree in my backyard."

There's a path to the left of the signboard that leads to the backyard, where you'll find a suspicious pile of yellowed leaves in front of a tree. Use Anemo to blow away the leaves and reveal a Common Chest. After looting the Chest, a note inside will prompt you to find the second puzzle southeast of the city.

Message From a City Resident (II)

Head to the area circled in the image above to find a wooden signboard. Investigate it to get the prompt for the second puzzle, which states that you must head to the bell tower and follow the sound of the bell.

The signboard is conveniently located in front of the bell tower, so simply climb the building behind it to reach the top.

Once you reach the top of the bell tower, interact with the ringing bell to initiate a challenge. There is no time limit for the challenge, but you need to complete it to get the treasure.

The mechanics of the challenge are as follows:

• Step on the white circle to begin.
• Glowing balls will appear in sets of one, two, three, and four.
• Step on the sets of glowing balls in the order of how many balls are in each set. For example, step on one glowing ball first, then the set of two glowing balls second, and the set of three glowing balls last.
• Once done, follow the quest navigator to the next area within the challenge and repeat the same steps until completion.

Once done, you will receive an Exquisite Chest reward. Don't forget to read the note on the ground to receive the clue on the next part of the Hidden Exploration Objective.

Message From a City Resident (III)

Head to the area circled above to find a signboard hidden behind some crates in a shaded area. Speak to it to get the puzzle prompt, which has to do with graffiti patterns.

Go up the stairs to find some blank circles on the wall. You need to interact with these circles and select the correct pattern to draw on them. From the bottom up, select:

• First circle (lower) - Draw a little frog
• Second circle (higher) - Draw a little flying squirrel

After drawing both graffiti correctly, you will be rewarded with a Precious Chest. Loot the Precious Chest and read the note inside before heading to the next destination.

Message From a City Resident (IV)

Head to the area circled in the image above, close to the Teleport Waypoint north of Constellation Metropole. Investigate the signboard to get the clue, which is to find treasure near the seats in the station.

Head to the station seats up ahead to find a pile of yellowed leaves. Use Anemo to blow away the leaves, revealing a Common Chest for you to loot.
