How to get Hybrid race in Type Soul

Though the Halloween update is out already, the Hybrid race type is yet to be added to the base game. Yes, the developers were discussing this part in the Discord channel and asking the community about the requirements/criteria they prefer to get the Hybrid race in the game. After much discussion and polling, the final criteria for getting the Hybrid race were set as follows.

  • 40 Clan Wins, 100 Ranked Wins, or 50 Battle Royale Wins.

So, if you fulfill any one of the above criteria, you will be eligible to get the Hybrid race in the game. We will update the article with more information once developers add the content and players start getting the Hybrid race in the game.

Is the Hybrid race good in Type Soul?

From the patch notes, it looks as if the Hybrid race won't be that good, as there are several drawbacks to pursuing this path. I have listed every one of them below.

  • You cannot get or use the True form
  • 20% submode drain
  • 25% mode drain
  • You cannot equip and use any Ultra Skills
  • 10% Debuff in Ranked PvP

While all of these drawbacks are bad, I mainly disliked the 10% debuff in ranked matches and the inability to use True+ Ultra Skills, as both of these are crucial factors in any PVP fights or, in general, usage. Due to this, this race type might not be that useful and may only be used for grinding PVE missions.

All Hybrid Race Types in Type Soul

There are three Hybrid Race Types in Type Soul, and you can find details about them below.

  • Quincycar: This Quincy Hybrid race allows you to shoot Bogen shots infused with a Cero Oscuras. The best part is that you can use the Cero's Siphon HP from the target and give it back to the player as a life steal.
  • Anomaly: Anamoly is a Hybrid Race type path for Soul Reapers. Pursuing this path allows the SR players to gain powers of both Hollow and Quincy weapons along with your Shikhai ones. Additionally, you can switch between Blut Vene and Hierro.
  • Vastoquin: For the Arracncar Hybrid race, you will gain an unstable version of Letztsil that will increase your Letzt drain and resurrection drain while boosting all the Vasto variants buff.
