Evolving Frieza in Anime Last Stand requires you to collect a variety of evolution materials one of which is known as the Evolution Capsule. Chances are you may not have heard of this item before as it was recently introduced in the game. Therefore, here's a comprehensive guide to obtaining the Evolution Capsule and evolving Frieza in Anime Last Stand.

How to obtain Evolution Capsule in Anime Last Stand

You have a chance to earn the Evolution Capsule by participating in Tiers 5-6 of the Tournament of Power portals also known as the new DBS portal. However, the odds of getting the capsule are quite low, ranging from just 1-3%. You can also get this item via trading which is why I recommend joining the Anime Last Stand Discord server to get a fair deal.

Getting the Tournament of Power portals in Anime Last Stand involves a bit of luck. These items drop with a 10% chance when you defeat bosses in infinite story mode similar to how the Evolution Capsule works. After obtaining a portal, you can use it from your inventory to unlock the DB portal.

Within the DB portal, you have the opportunity to secure Tiers 5-6 of the Tournament of Power portals. During my playthrough, I observed that lower-tier portals are more commonly obtained in infinite story mode while the DB portal offers higher-tier ones. However, keep in mind that enemies in Tier 5-6 portals are 300% stronger or more than regular ones.

How to evolve Frieza in the Anime Last Stand

You will need the following materials in order to evolve Frieza (Lord Alien Gold) into Black Frieza (Lord Alien Dark):

  • Lord Alien Gold: Evolve the base Frieza (a unit that can be obtained from Banner 3)
  • 1x Evolution Capsule: 1-3% chance of obtaining from Tiers 5-6 of the Tournament of Power portals.
  • 12x Legendary Spirit Shards: Use Spirit Shard Converter or obtain it from challenges, raids and gold shop.
  • 25x Cosmic Essence: Spin the DBS wheel or craft it inside of the Divine Crafter.
  • 50x Fire Essence: Beat Cavern of Fire
  • 6x Mythic Spirit Shards: Use the Spirit Shard Converter or earn them by completing challenges, participating in raids, or visiting the gold shop.

Once you have all these materials, head to the units section in the game and hit the Evo button under Frieza to evolve the unit.
