Tips and Tricks to Win Races in BitLife

Below, I have explained a few of the key aspects of racing in BitLife that you should thoroughly understand to win races in the game.

Understanding Race Mini-Game

Firstly, you have to understand how the racing mini-game works. If you start a race, you will find a slider at the bottom of the screen that controls the speed of the car. Though it is common in all races, there is a difference in how you use it.

  • Circuit Races - In circuit races, you only have to use the throttle/slider at full speed in a straight corner while slowing down in corners to avoid breakdown.
  • Demolition Derby - For Demolition Derby, you aim to destroy/takedown other cars in the course. So, you have to carefully lower and increase your speed strategically in such a way that you align yourself at a crossroads to hit the other player tactically. This will take time to learn as you have to judge the timing and attack pattern.
  • Street Races - Street Races are also similar to Circuit Races, where you can go faster in straight lanes while slowing down in turns. But, in addition to that, you have to take care of the Cops, who will appear out of nowhere and chase your car. Simply Speed up your car when you see a cop for a few turns, and you can evade them easily.

Car Selection and Modification

Picking the right car for the right race is very essential in securing victories in BitLife, as they can literally make or break your race. So, how do you select vehicles for your race? Well, if you are driving in Circuit Races, you should look for a car that has good Speed and Acceleration. For the Demolition Derby, your focus should be on picking a vehicle in good Condition, whereas for Street Races, Handling and Speed should be your priority.

If your car lacks in each or all of these aspects, you can improve those by modifying your vehicle. Simply select your car from the garage and change it according to your requirements. If you need more handling, install parts like three-piece wheels or hydraulic suspension, while if you need durability, you should get a roll cage, steel plating, or more.

  • Circuit Races - Speed Modification
  • Demolition Derby - Durability Modification
  • Street Race - Handling and Speed Modification

I always recommend checking your modification in testing tracks to know about the newly added changes.

Selection of Pit Crew

Selecting a very competent Pit Crew is essential to winning races one after the other. Just ensure that they have a very high Competency rating and that they charge you less. If you feel your current pit crew is lazy, fire them and choose a better one for the following year.

Sometimes, it is better to defeat your opponents mentally before even entering a race. For this, you can use the Insult and Rivals option that allows you to insult their driving style while making them your arch-rival. If that does not work, you can go a step further and use the Sabotage or Steal option to make their life even more miserable.
