With the new The Beast Hunt DLC added to Wartales, a new group of animals has been added to the fray whom you can capture. But getting your hands on these Fierce Animals in Wartales isn't as easy as it might seem. So, to help you capture and tame them with ease, here's a complete guide on it.
How to Tame Fierce Animals in Wartales

Taming Fierce Animals in Wartales, while a complicated process, can be summarized into a few simple steps that require you to satisfy some prerequisites:
- Unlock the Huntsman Profession: Visit any Tracker’s Camp and purchase the Hunting Gear blueprint for 50 fangs. Craft the Hunting Gear at your camp using leather, rope, wood, and iron ore, then interact with it to unlock the Huntsman job.
- Track Animal Clues: Explore the world map and watch for glowing red paw icons in the Brigga Region. They mark animal traces like tracks, carcasses, and even ruined camps. Approach any marker to initiate the Huntsman minigame.
- Complete the Minigame: Follow the on-screen prompts to gather clues. Successfully finishing the sequence triggers an encounter with an animal horde that will include at least one Fierce Animal.
- Reduce to <50% HP: Once you've defeated most of the horde, make sure that you reduce the HP of the Fierce Animal to less than 50% before you try to capture it.
- Surround and Capture: You need to then surround the Animal, and then use Ropes from your inventory (not camp chest) to try and capture it. This has to be initiated by a companion that isn't engaged.
Depending on the Fierce Animal, it can take up to 5-6 ropes to capture it. They have similar stats and strength to that of a Bear, which used to be the strongest tameable animal in Wartales.
What are Fierce Animals in Wartales
Fierce Animals are elite variants of existing wildlife in Wartales, mutated by The Beast's power thus having significantly boosted capabilities. Compared to their ordinary counterparts, they have the following perks:
- Increased Health Pools
- Stronger Attack Power

Because of their extra accessory and enhanced stats, you can field them as tanks or even for utility depending on the accessories you choose.
