How Acorns work in AFK Journey – Acorn Guide

During your heroic journey, you'll recruit various heroes and find some peculiar items that will boost your power. Here's a guide about how Acorns work in AFK Journey, where to find them, and how to use them.

How to get Acorns in AFK Journey

Acorns are important items for leveling up your characters. Depending on your heroes' level and faction, you can use Acorns to Ascend them to a higher rarity level. You can find Acorns by recruiting heroes, shopping, and doing Trials.

There are three main ways to get Acorns in AFK Journey. The best way to find Acorns is Legend Trial, which you unlock after clearing AFK stage 166. There are four ladders in Legends Trial, one per faction, and only the heroes from the same faction can access them. With some luck, you can find them when recruiting specific units in Tavern. Checking the rates will reveal which units will bring faction-specific Acorns.

There are also Omni-Acorns, which you can convert into any faction you want. If you don't want to grind for your Acorns, you can opt for Noble Path, which is an AFK Journey's version of Battle Pass. You will get several Acorns for free, and if you decide to cash out for a Premium Pass, you'll get more.

Acorns in AFK Journey are used to Ascend your heroes to a higher rank. The amount of Acorns needed for Hero Ascension depends on the Hero's current rank and factions. Some Hero classes, such as Celestial and Hypogean, don't require acorns to ascend at all. However, to Ascend your heroes, you also need Soul Sigils, which are soul duplicates of your characters. Higher ranks of characters require more consumables, but there are specific requirements for A-Level, S-Level, and Celestial/Hypogean Heroes.
