You get many heroes to pick from for your party in the idle gacha RPG, AFK Journey. If you’ve landed Temesia, she can be a hard hero to categorize, so read on for all you need to know about her best teammates and formations.
Temesia Guide - Best Heroes & Formations
Temesia is one of the more interesting heroes in AFK Journey. At first glance, she looks like a standard epic rarity Tank character from the Lightbearer faction, doing physical damage at Range 1. But when you look closer at her skill set, particularly her Ultimate, Knight’s Heart, something far more interesting emerges.

Temesia guide - AFK Journey
Temesia doesn’t perform normal attacks. Instead what she does is target the enemy furthest away and charge directly at them, damaging all enemies along the path. She then recharges her energy, turns around, and does the same again. If she gets buffed with Haste or ATK Speed the attack animation will not speed up but her damage will increase.
The biggest takeaway from this is that, in the traditional sense, Temesia is not a tank. Temesia is an excellent damage dealer who is hard to kill and can also disrupt both the enemy front and backlines with her interrupts from Iron Heel. She is a disruptive and anarchic force on the battlefield. However, her charges mean she will not hold the attention of enemy attackers, potentially leaving other heroes exposed.
Another advantage of Temesia is that she ignores walls while still acting as a well-armored melee fighter. This means she also has a level of Rogue capabilities, striking all over the field. Particularly in PVP, this uniqueness can work to your advantage, as opponents are unlikely to set up to deal with her. She’s too unique to plan for!
Once Temesia has Invincible Fury (at Mythic+ level) she becomes even more formidable. She can’t be controlled, gains True Damage instead of Charge Damage, and heals herself a little. Enhance force is also a solid passive, reducing the Phys Dev of any enemy she hits by 1 percent (which can stack 6 times).

Temesia best hero formations - AFK Journey
You should think of Temesia as a Warrior-Rogue, not a Tank, and it wouldn’t surprise me if she gets reclassified in a later update to avoid confusion. However, while she won’t be the damage sponge a tank should be, she does garner enough attention from attackers to be of some use to your tank, meaning they won’t take all the heat. These are the heroes that make the best AFK Journey team for Temesia.
- Silvina (Rogue): While Silvina is a Graveborn hero, pairing her with Temesia can easily be worth the loss of faction bonus. Silvina is a Rogue who flashes across the battlefield rather than charging, where she can then decimate your opponent’s backline. Her issue is she’s a bit squishy. But if you’ve got Temesia there too, drawing fire, their backline can be gone in a matter of seconds.
- Thoran (Tank): If you decide to go with Silvina for that back-row carnage, look no further than Thoran for a tank to add to your formation. Thoran is another Graveborn hero and is considered by many to be the best Tank in the game, if not the best hero full stop. He’s a jack-of-all-trades, being able to soak up damage but also deal it at DPS levels. Even if they kill him, he gets to resurrect once per battle…
- Lucius (Tank): As the other Lightbearer tank, Lucius is a solid choice for your formation if you want the faction bonus. He is very much a traditional paladin-style tank, relying on shields and damage reduction to keep himself and his allies upright. However, Lucius isn’t too highly regarded, probably because he isn’t explosive, but he is a good hero in the early game and is never the worst option.
- Rowan (Support): Rowan is easily the number one Lightbearer healer and, as with Thoran above, is generally considered one of the best heroes in the game. In the early game, you can rely on him to keep your party alive while also handing out nice chunks of Energy to his allies. You may want to pair him with a more dedicated healer in later-game content or switch him out entirely (depending on Energy needs).
- Cecia (Marksmen): Currently Cecia is one of the great early-game DPS heroes in AFK Journey. She summons an ally as well as dealing big damage, which can help keep the enemy out of her face.
- Korin (Warrior): Korin is a solid warrior option early in the game, dealing strong damage while also shielding weak allies in a tank-like fashion. Noy flashy or fast working, but solid and dependable which works well with a loose cannon such as Temesia.
So to clarify, the best overall Temesia formation for me is a 3-2 team consisting of Thoran (Graveborn Tank), Temesia (Lightbearer Tank), Silvina (Graveborn Rogue), Cecia (Graveborn Marksman) and Rowan (Lightbearer Support).
