How to Change and Remap Controls in Age of Empires IV

Similar to any other RTS game, Age of Empires IV has a Plethora of controls and hotkeys for the various functionalities. While the default controls are pleasant to use, you can always change and remap the key bindings to your likings. To change and remap controls in Age of Empires IV, You have to visit the controls menu through the game settings and remap any functions according to your liking.

So, here is a detailed step-by-step guide on it:

• Launch and open the game and click the settings button on the bottom right corner of the screen, as shown below.

• The first option in the settings is the controls section. Click on the View and Remap Controls button. 
• Now, in the new window, you can change the key bindings of all the grid and common keys.

• Just click on any function and assign it with a new binding of your choice by pressing the new key.
• If you have any overlapping keys, make sure to rebind the original one with new keys.

Remember, there is an option to create separate controls profile for each user. So, if you have multiple users playing on your system, create individual profiles for each user.
