In Happy Home Paradise for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, your main goal is to design and remodel vacation homes for various villagers. That said, homes are not the only things you’ll be building. You will also be building facilities with uses on the main island of the archipelago.
In total, there are five facilities, and you unlock the ability to build them in a certain order, though two of them you unlock in unison and can choose which you wish to unlock. Players can also expand three of the five facilities. Here is every facility and facility expansion in Happy Home Paradise.
School
How to Unlock: Design 4 vacation homes
Use: Some characters will come to the archipelago to teach lessons there and unlock content for you, such as Leif and Nat. You can also get a shrub start from the teacher each day.
Expansion: None
Restaurant
How to Unlock: Design 12 vacation homes
Use: Once a day, you can receive a DIY Cooking Recipe from the villager you assign to be the chef. There will also be three available villagers inside you have not yet built vacation homes for as clients.
Expansion: Private dining second floor (Unlocked by housing 3 sets of roommates)
Café
How to Unlock: Design 12 vacation homes
Use: You can order food and drinks from the café from either of the villagers you set to work there. There are also three available villagers (clients) inside who haven't yet built a vacation home.
Expansion: Gallery second floor (Unlocked by becoming a Superstar Designer)

Hospital
How to Unlock: Design 22 vacation homes
Use: You can get a daily exam. Each exam will give you a different unlockable item. You will also find Joan, Daisy Mae’s grandmother, in the waiting room once a week.
Expansion: Patient Ward second floor (Unlocked by donating 120,000 Poki to the Hospital)
Apparel Shop
How to Unlock: Design 30 vacation homes
Use: Buy daily fashion items across six mannequins of your choice (head, torso, bottom). You can also choose the fashion theme of your shop or decline to have a theme.
Expansion: None
