One of the most popular features of Happy Home Paradise is the ability to have two villagers' rooms together. This greatly changes how you decorate vacations homes and opens the door to even more creative possibilities. Roommates, like other features, does need to be unlocked.
How to Use the Roommates Feature
The roommate option will unlock once you have completed fifteen vacation homes. Once unlocked, you will be able to speak with villagers on the northern beach that you have already built a vacation home for. By selecting "want a roommate," you can pair them up with the character of your choice.

You can select roommates from:
- Villager's on the northern beach with established vacation homes.
- Villager's on the southern beach looking for a vacation home.
- By using the Amiibo machine.
If you merge two existing vacation homeowners, then they will move into the home of the villager you asked about having a roommate first and their vacation home plot will free up.
Are There any Roommate Restrictions?
There are no restrictions when placing two roommates together regardless of conflicting personality types. You will be able to use all your currently unlocked tools when renovating the home and will also be given a chance to choose how many floors the home has when discussing the move-in with the villager pair.
If not already unlocked, then you will also gain access to the villager you choose to be a roommate's items in the catalog. If you don't like the roommates you paired or simply want a change, then you can always change the living situation by talking with the villager at the northern beach again and selecting " how's your home" and then "want to build your own.".
