Glowing Moss and Vines. Two useful items added to the lineup in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 free update. Glowing Moss is used for either decoration or DIY recipes, while vines are used either for decoration, DIY, or climbing cliffs (they work the same as a permanent ladder). However, the easiest way to gather Vines and Glowing Moss is in the paid Happy Home Paradise DLC. Here is where to find Glowing Moss and Vines in Happy Home Paradise.
Finding Glowing Moss and Vines
The main island of the archipelago is where you are going to find Glowing Moss and Vines. There will not be any down on the beach, but if you head up behind the facilities and such, you will find higher levels to the main island with cliffs, water, and arches.
There will be a couple of permanent ladders you can climb, and you can gather Vines from the cliff sides or climb them before you do. You can also pull Glowing Moss from the ground, similar to weeds. You cannot replace any of the items you collect, but a little more Glowing Moss and Vines will spawn in the same area every day. You can either collect them daily or wait for them to build up and gather a lot at once.

Outside of Happy Home Paradise
You can do so outside of the DLC if you want to find more Vines and Glowing Moss, but it will cost you. You can also find Vines and Glowing Moss on islands you visit via Kapp’n’s Boat Tours in the base game. You can go on a Boat Tour once a day for 1,000 Nook Miles.
