A good rule of thumb is to check what materials you need to Evo your unit and check where you can get it from. If these drop from a stage which you can easily clear, then it’s definitely time to Evo. However, if you’re struggling and barely managing to get that victory, then you should keep leveling your units still. Whenever you start to evolve your units is also a great time to start Trading, since you’ll most likely have useful items for trade at this point.
Obtaining powerful units is a core progression part of Anime Vanguards. However, most of them are locked behind specific quests beyond the standard summon that players must complete to obtain them permanently.
