Where to find a light source for the Unfathom area in Another Crab’s Treasure (Map)

The Unfathom is a late-game location at the bottom of Another Crab's Treasure's ocean. When Krill finds himself down there, it will be challenging to see your claw in front of your face. To get a better look around, you should pick up the very missable illumination stowaway.

Once you fall into the Unfathom, there will be some light from the surrounding glow sticks, but it will still be incredibly dark down there. My first time heading through this sunless area, I didn't find the glowing Lanternfish, which made traversing the deep much more challenging.

Lanternfish stowaway location in Another Crab's Treasure

To light your way, you will need to pick up the Lanternfish stowaway. It will be located in a Styrofoam castle container in this part of the Unfathom. It is near the wreckage of the pirate-themed pinball machine, near where you meet up with the professor again. It will be a glowing red object inside of the Styrofoam container.

In order to use the Lanternfish pet in Another Crab's Treasure, you need to replace one of the two Stowaway slots in the menu with the Lanternfish. This little black, glowing fish will then illuminate the area around you and keep you company on your journey.

If you face the fish, you can even pet him; just look for the button prompt to pop up on the screen. On the Switch it was the X button. You will need 30 Vitality to equip him, so you might need to head back to the Moon Snail Shell in the area to level yours up until the Lanternfish can be equipped.
