Apex Legends has bounced around from time-to-time on how many Battle Royale maps it puts in rotation. It was one in the beginning, and then it has been two for a majority of Apex Legends’ existence. A three-map rotation was first introduced in Season 10: Emergence, showcasing all three maps in the game at the time, but quickly went back to two maps in Season 11: Escape.
For Season 12: Defiance, Apex Legends is returning to the three-map rotation format. That said, now that there are four maps in the game, one will still be vaulted and taken out of play until a future season. The new update for the season is to Olympus, returning with it's new Sabotaged variant, and the other two returning maps are just as we remember them. Let’s take a look.
