Leveling Up the Battle Pass

Leveling up the Battle Pass will be focused on XP. There isn't going to be challenges to complete like in Fortnite. This can be viewed positively or negatively depending on how you feel about it personally. More information will be available on this tomorrow, according to a Community Manager on Reddit.

Bonus Legend XP

Playing with different Legends give a bonus based on your survival time, up to 25,000 Battle Pass Points per Legend each week.

It looks like if you spread your play between Legends you will get more experience towards your Battle Pass. Probably a good idea for anyone looking to level it up as fast as possible!

BATTLE PASS FAQ

How do I buy the Battle Pass?

The Battle Pass can only be purchased in the in-game store using Apex Coins. Launch Apex Legends, navigate to the Battle Pass tab, and purchase the Battle Pass from there. If you need to purchase Apex Coins, you can do that in the store, too.

What happens if I buy my Battle Pass late in the season?

You’ll receive all the rewards up to your Battle Pass level (which is your current level for the season) retroactively! For example, if you’re on level 20 for the season when you buy the Battle Pass, you’ll unlock all rewards for every level up to 20, plus three special Battle Pass skins.

If you buy the Battle Pass Bundle, you’ll get the rewards for 25 levels in addition to the levels you’ve already reached. So, if you’re on level 20 for the season when you buy the Battle Pass Bundle, you’ll get all the rewards through level 45 and the three special Battle Pass skins.

Can I keep leveling my Season 1 Battle Pass after the season ends?

No, the rewards available in the Season 1 Battle Pass can only be earned until the season is over. After it ends, you won’t be able to earn new Wild Frontier content.

Do I keep my stuff after the season ends?

Yes! You keep every Battle Pass reward you’ve unlocked after the season is over.

What if I don’t buy the Battle Pass? Can I still earn rewards for free?

Yes. Even if you don’t purchase the Battle Pass, you can still earn the following items for free:

  • 1 Wild Frontier Legend skin
  • 5 Apex Packs
  • 18 Wild Frontier stat trackers

If I buy the Battle Pass, can I also get the free rewards?

Yes! Everyone can earn the free rewards during Season 1.

Apex Legends Road Map

If you're curious about the future plans when it comes to Apex Legends in terms of the Battle Pass, new Characters/Legends, Weapons, and loot then the Year 1 Roadmap is a good start for information.

Each part of the year includes a new battle pass, legends, weapons, and new potential loot. We've already seen one gun added to the game (Havoc), and we'll be likely getting information really soon about the first season of the battle pass!

Leaked Battle Pass Information

Respawn Response

Looks like Respawn wanted to quell some of the rumors about the Battle Pass and leaks surrounding it with the following response:

Hey Friends,

So between the datamining and the unintentional update about Season 1 on Origin today, there’s been a lot of speculation and confusion so we wanted to give some clarity:

  • We’ll be providing details on Season 1, Battle Pass, and the next Legend very soon. It’s not coming out today.
  • There’s lots of stuff that has been datamined from Apex since launch and is swirling around the Internet. We know this stuff is fun to dig up and speculate about, but you should not treat any of that info as a source of truth. There’s stuff in there that is very old, or things we’ve tried in the past and cut--remember our design process is to prototype and play lots of ideas--and some of it may be things we’re still building for Apex Legends. Finding this stuff by no means confirms that it’ll ever come out. At best you should treat any posts about this as a rumor and the real info will come from us when we’re ready to show off what’s coming next.

Thank you to everyone for staying patient through this and hang tight. We’re excited to get Season 1 kicked off and having you grinding on that Battle Pass with a new Legend to master soon.

Update: Battle Pass Leaks

Some leaks have been found recently, by RealApexLeaks on Twitter. First image just displays some of the buttons that will be used in the menus.

Unlockable character skins confirmed.

Some kind of different background for the lobby with the battle pass.

There will be a "Battle Pass Bonus" which could be +XP or something of that nature.

There's some more leaks in this Tweet, some stuff about an icon for a free pass (there'll hopefully be a free option), a diamond level (maybe paid, maybe something else), and a details box.

  1. Everyone thinks wrong about the roadmap,if you look at the legends, weapons, loot and the battlepass, they all have a symbol in the right corner, then look in the roadmap and see that every of these months have the 4 symbols in them. This means that every time we are gonna get all 4 not only one + battlepass.

  2. The cost section of this article is so utterly wrong its insane, have you played fortnite? To get the ingame currency within fortnite you have to purchase the battle pass in the first place. From then on the battle pass pays for the next one and onwards. So saying you never have to pay a penny is wrong.

    1. This is literally the following sentence in that paragraph: “This is usually not the case, and most players will purchase at least one, but after that you can easily get enough currency to purchase the next one and repeat the process into the future.”

    2. They are saying in Fortnite you can earn over enough in game currency to purchase the next one therefore if you save the in game currency you earn you can spend it in the next battle pass and the cycle repeats

    3. When I last played fortnite in season 3, I could earn V-Bucks from the free battle pass so if I really wanted to over the course of 3-4 seasons, get enough to get a free pass.
