What is KP in Apex Legends?

Here's how the scores are allotted.

Apex Legends is a Battle Royale game known for its robust and highly competitive ranked mode. While the mode may have some issues, it allows players to compete, secure ranks, and rise through the global leaderboard. Here's a guide explaining how KP works in Apex Legends Ranked.

KP in Apex Legends stands for Kill Points and refers to the amount of score that kills and assists contribute to your Ranked Points (RP) in a ranked mode game. A player's RP after a match is determined by adding their KP to their Placement Points and deducting the entry cost from the sum.

10 KP is awarded for every kill or assist that you contribute in a game. Furthermore, you'll receive bonus points per kill depending on your Placement Point, as shown in the image above. However, you can only get a maximum of 125 KP per ranked match.

Another important aspect to note is that the KP awarded varies based on the tier difference between you and the eliminated player's rank. If you manage to kill or assist in killing a player with a higher rank than you, the KP you receive is more and vice versa. Keep in mind that the information discussed here is for Season 12 of Apex Legends and it may change in the future.
