Apollo, our resident Grenades & Gadgets trader, wants to make sure that raiders stay safe while exploring the new Riven Tides map in Arc Raiders. To do that, the first step is to reinforce defenses along the shore, ensuring that what little we have there is sturdy and reliable. For the Shoring Up Defenses quest, he wants you to destroy 5 Wasps, 3 Fireflies, and do some repair work around the structures on the shore.

Destroying pesky Arcs is quite easy and self-explanatory, so we can skip that part - a seasoned raider like you already has hundreds of these destroyed under their belt. However, navigating the new map and finding new locations can be tricky. And that’s where this guide jumps in to help. Read on to learn where to find the Raider structure on top of any Stacking Yard crane and how to board up shuttered windows in the hotel.
The Stacking Yard Crane Raider Structure Location
In order to find the Raider Structure on top of any Stacking Yard crane on the Riven Tides map in Arc Raiders, the very first thing you need to do is to head to the Stacking Yard POI. Open up the map Riven Tides once you're in-game, and look for the Stacking Yard POI. It is a massive POI in the central-north part of the map, hard to miss. When you see it on the map, set your marker on it and head there. It goes without saying, but watch out for the enemies while heading there. From there:
- Reach any of the three massive Stacking Yard cranes.
- Each crane has a combination of ladders and stairs next to it, leading to its midsection. Use them to reach the upper parts (check out the images for further instructions).
- Once you're up there, look for the gray (non-red) parts of the crane. These are the two massive bars that protrude toward the shore.
- At the very start of these structures (while they are still mixed with the red parts of the crane), you'll spot a rudimentary tent-like structure standing on them. That's the Raider Structure.
- Approach the Raider Structure, and an interaction prompt will appear near one of the iron bars holding the structure.
- Use Arc Alloy to reinforce it.

Congrats, you've completed the first part of the Shoring Up Defenses quest in Arc Raiders. Make sure to have at least one Arc Alloy before interacting with the structure, as you'll need it for the reinforcement. It should be easy enough to get, as almost any Arc will drop it when destroyed.

Where to Find Shuttered Windows in the Hotel on Riven Tides
The next major part of the Shoring Up Defenses quest in Arc Raiders will have you board up shuttered windows in the hotel on Riven Tides. The hotel in question is the Hotel Panorama Azzurro. Naturally, that's where you'll want to go once you're ready. Here's how to complete this task, step by step:
- In-match, open the Riven Tides map and look for the Hotel Panorama Azzurro POI.
- Set a marker on Hotel Panorama Azzurro and head toward the hotel.
- Inside the hotel lobby, make sure the coast is clear (pun intended), as there will be a few Pops and Fireballs that can wreak havoc if you aren't cautious.
- Once you deal with the enemies, head to one of the upper floors and look for windows.
- What you need to do is find any window that is covered with some sort of barricade (most windows are broken open, and you cannot interact with them). You will need a barricaded window to complete the quest.
- When you find one, approach it, and an interaction button will appear.
- Complete the interaction to board up shuttered windows in the hotel on Riven Tides.
And that's it, you have now completed the Shoring Up Defenses quest in the Arc Raiders Riven Tides update. Of course, provided you've previously defeated 5 Wasps and 3 Fireflies, but that shouldn't be a big issue.

No, this is not an all-in-one round type of quest. You can complete some tasks in one round, and then finish the quest in the next (or any other) round.
You need to find barricaded windows in order to complete this task. Only then will you be able to board up shuttered windows in the hotel on Riven Tides.
Upon reporting your success at Apollo's, you'll receive Dockmaster's Detector x1, Barricade Kit x3, Lure Grenade Trap x3, and Seeker Grenade x3.
Sometimes, several players are shooting at a single Arc simultaneously. Unfortunately, the game only counts the final blow as a kill. If another player lands the last hit, it will count for them, not for you.
Yes, you are not obliged to complete that part of the quest on Riven Tides. You can destroy them on any map, and it will count toward completing the quest.
