How to use Cross-Platform Modding in ARK Survival Ascended

Whether you're playing ASA on a PC or on a console, Cross-Platform Modding is immediately accessible to you when loading up the game. From the game's main menu, select Mods List.

At this screen, you'll be able to browse mods created for the game using the in-game CurseForge mod browser. You may know of CurseForge if you've played games like World of Warcraft for a spell. Once you're in the browser, you may browse any published mods available, look at any Installed mods you have, and organize any of your own mods.

To install mods, simply select the mod you wish to download and click Install. The game handles the rest for you which is why this feature is so significant; there is no existent need for a third party.

Before hitting Install, however, you can read details about any given mod, and even leave comments. You're given a breakdown of what a mod does, when it was created when it was updated, the overall size, and even the version of it. However, be aware that the level of detail present on this screen depends solely on the modder's description of their project.

From the perspective of a modder, you can choose whether or not you wish to publish mods outside your given platform, but rarely is there a reason not to. This new feature opens the door for new revenue streams, after all. The more eyes on your mod, the more potential revenue to be earned.
